19 of Daniil Medvedev's 21 victories have been earned on hard courts
A resurgent Medvedev won his first trophy for 882 days with success over Frenchman Moutet in the tournament championship match.
The athlete, a former world number one, has experienced a difficult season, winning just a single victory at the Grand Slams and experiencing a meltdown at the New York tournament.
Medvedev's inconsistency on the ATP Tour - and difficulties with his serving in particular - resulted in him falling of the world's top 10 and finally splitting with long-time coach Cervara.
Now training with his coach and Goetzke, the tennis star has steadily advanced in the past month - climaxing in a hard-fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 victory over opponent Corentin Moutet.
This represents the player's maiden championship since the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hard court from that period of the previous year.
The win also means Medvedev has secured 21 titles at twenty-one various competitions.
"For the first time I'm at a tournament with my children together, so to win a trophy is especially meaningful," said ranked player the champion.
"This victory is in honour of my child Victoria, because the maiden victory I got when my older daughter my daughter was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the past champion, had been defeated in his previous six finals, comprising in Halle previously this season.
Medvedev's retrieving approach and frequent outbursts on court had prompted observers to question if his ability to compete at the top level was concluded.
But the player has altered his approach in the past month, attempting to approach the net and perform assertively, reinforced by an improved service.
He recovered from a disadvantage in the first set against the challenging Moutet, securing 4 of the concluding five exchanges to gain the advantage.
The competitors exchanged service breaks in the second set before Moutet, striving for his maiden ATP Tour title, seized the initiative to create a final set.
Moutet rescued four early break points in a tight deciding set before Medvedev secured a break to fifteen to serve for the match.
Appropriately, he earned victory with a rally at the front of the court, with his opponent unable to control a shot after a lengthy match.
